Staff at two SCBDD sites in Portsmouth will be undergoing safety training on Friday. The drill will occur between 1:15 and 3:15 p.m. after early dismissal of Vern Riffe School students and individuals who utilize STAR services.
Law enforcement will be involved in the drill.
During the time of the drill, no one will be able to enter or leave the building if they are not involved in the drill itself. The drill will simulate a live intruder incident and will be used to gather information in regards to response and effective strategies when confronted with such an incident.
