The Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities (SCBDD) has announced
that Steve Sowkulech will assume the responsibilities of Community Employment
Team Leader. Community Employment is located in the Vocation Station and serves
to find jobs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Sowkulech has been employed by the Scioto County Board of Developmental
Disabilities since 2006, where he has served as a Service and Support
Administrator. Prior employment included an internship in the Community
Services Department at SCBDD, substitute teaching at Vern Riffe School and
substitute in the STAR Adult Services Program. He has also coached various
Special Olympics activities.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Shawnee State
University in 2005.
