The proceeds from the recent STAR, Inc., Charity Car Show are helping members of the !MPACT team do even more good in the Scioto County community.
According to Outreach Coordinator Keith Chatfield, the group has purchased a new Husqvarna riding mower and covered the costs of refurbishing an equipment trailer – all funded through the support of local businesses and community members who supported the car show. The car show was on Sept. 9 and raised $5,600, almost triple the amount needed for the mower.
Special thanks to Wheelersburg Ace Hardware, Southern Ohio Medical Center, WZZZ 107 The Breeze, and area businesses and community members who supported the car show. Community partnerships allow !MPACT to grow and thrive as members seek to make a difference in the community through volunteerism.
The Star, Inc., Charity Car Show is held annually and helps support the projects of the !MPACT group, a team of dozens of individuals who volunteer to beautify area parks, serve food at the Salvation Army, and serve the community in many ways. The group is expected to hit a record 20,000+ hours of service in November.
