Sudbrook gains independence for bright future
With the help of the Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Alex Sudbrook was able to gain independence and start a new life.
SCBDD honors Kirsch
Rick Bolin, right, Board Member of the Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities (SCBDD), presented a plaque to Judge James Kirsch during his retirement party on Feb. 13 at the Scioto County Courthouse. Kirsch, a long time supporter of SCBDD retired after 36 years in office as the Probate and Juvenile Court Judge. He has participated in events and activities at the SCBDD throughout his tenure and has sworn in several board members.
Arnett appointed to SCBDD Board
Mike Arnett, left, was appointed by the Scioto County Commissioners to fill the vacated position on the Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities (SCBDD) Board. Klaire Purtee announced last month that she was resigning from the board due to a conflict of interest with her daughter’s recent acceptance of a position at SCBDD.
Purtee had served on the board since 2006. Arnett was sworn in during a special meeting of the board on Jan.

Sessions are: Noon to 1:30 p.m. or 5 to 6:30 p.m.,
Each session may be extended additional 30 minutes for discussion if needed.
