PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Scioto County Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) has announced the promotion of Erica Culver to Manager of Early Intervention. Culver, who joined Scioto County DD in 2019 as a developmental specialist, brings more than fourteen years of experience in the developmental disabilities field to her new management role.
“Being promoted to Manager of Early Intervention is not just a career advancement for me—it's an opportunity to amplify my impact in regard to advocating for meaningful change, and empowering others,” said Culver.
Developmental specialists at Scioto County DD play a critical role in supporting families with infants and toddlers who have been referred for early intervention services. They connect families with therapies and services while developing individualized family service plans to meet each child's unique needs.
As Manager of Early Intervention, some of Culver’s management responsibilities will include overseeing of day-to-day activities and record keeping as well as training and mentoring the team of developmental specialists.
“I have worked within the developmental disabilities field for many fulfilling years and consider myself lucky to have a career where dreams and responsibilities coexist. I am truly grateful for Scioto County Developmental Disabilities' trust and support,” Culver shared.
